Vivo X100 Ultra Receives Certification, Hinting at Impending May Launch

Vivo’s forthcoming X100 Ultra is poised to redefine smartphone photography, with a company executive dubbing it “a professional camera that can make calls.” Anticipation mounts as the device is slated to join the X100 series lineup next month, alongside the X100s, rounding out the flagship offerings which already include the X100 and X100 Pro.

Recent developments indicate that the X100 Ultra has received certification in China by 3C, bearing the model number V2366GA, as revealed by the reliable Weibo leaker, Digital Chat Station.

The X100 Ultra is expected to come in two variants: a standard 5G-enabled model, and another version equipped with satellite connectivity, catering to the current trend in the Chinese market.

Certification details have unveiled support for 80W wired charging, albeit lower than its predecessors, the X100 and X100 Pro. Additionally, Digital Chat Station hints at a substantial battery capacity, estimated around 5,500 mAh.

Positioned as vivo’s ultimate camera flagship for 2024, the X100 Ultra boasts impressive specifications, including a Sony Lytia LYT-900 primary camera sensor and a 100mm (4.3x) 200 MP periscope telephoto lens. Speculation points to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, coupled with generous RAM and storage options. The device is also expected to leverage the cutting-edge BlueImage branding for its camera technology.

Stay tuned for further updates as more information about the vivo X100 Ultra surfaces.
