Rumors Point to iPhone 15 Models Sporting Similar Design as iPhone 14, But With Noteworthy Upgrades
According to recent rumors, the upcoming iPhone 15 models are expected to bear a resemblance to the iPhone 14 counterparts in terms of overall design. However, one significant change is anticipated—the pill-and-hole cutout on the front will be expanded to cover the entire iPhone 15 lineup. This means that all iPhone 15 models will ditch the traditional notch and instead adopt the Dynamic Island concept introduced in the iPhone 14 Pro models.

Apple is reportedly planning to maintain its current lineup of four models: the standard 6.1-inch iPhone 15, the 6.1-inch iPhone 15 Pro, the larger 6.7-inch iPhone 15 Max, and the 6.7-inch iPhone 15 Pro Max. The “Pro” variants will offer higher-end features and come at a higher price point, while the standard iPhone 15 models will be more budget-friendly.
For the standard iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, design differences will include the transition from a Lightning port to a USB-C port, as well as the switch to the Dynamic Island, eliminating the notch. A leaked image of an iPhone 15 Pro suggests the presence of a USB-C port.
In addition to the Dynamic Island upgrade, all iPhone 15 models are rumored to be equipped with a more power-efficient OLED display driver chip manufactured on a 28nm process. This advancement could lead to reduced power consumption, ultimately resulting in improved battery life for the devices.

It's worth noting that the standard iPhone 15 models won't incorporate ProMotion technology or always-on display features, as Apple plans to reserve these enhancements exclusively for the Pro devices.
The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro's Dynamic Island is also expected to feature an updated design with an integrated proximity sensor. Although this change may affect component costs, it is likely a move by Apple to make the devices more cost-effective.

As with any rumors, it's important to take this information with a grain of salt until Apple officially unveils the iPhone 15 lineup. Nevertheless, these reports offer an exciting glimpse into the potential upgrades we can expect from the next generation of iPhones.
